Ako pud, libog pud ko aha jud maau... and naa ko question about sa FSB ani nila...

FSB Stands for "frontside bus." The FSB connects the computer's processor to the system memory (RAM) and other components on the motherboard. These components include the system chipset, AGP card, PCI devices, and other peripherals. Because the FSB serves as the main path from the processor to the rest of the motherboard, it is also called the "system bus."

The speed of the frontside bus is measured in Megahertz or Gigahertz, just like the processor. Most computers' processors run faster than their system buses, so the FSB speed is typically a ratio of the processor speed. For example, a Pentium 4 processor that runs at 2.4 GHz may have an FSB speed of only 400 MHz. The CPU to FSB ratio would be 6:1. A Power Mac G5, however, with a 2.0 GHz processor, has a 1.0 GHz frontside bus. Therefore, its CPU to FSB ratio is 2:1.

The smaller the ratio, the more efficiently the processor can work. Therefore, faster frontside bus speeds lead to faster overall performance. When the CPU to FSB ratio is high, the processor often has to wait for data to be sent out over the system bus before getting new data to process. For this reason, the FSB can be a bottleneck in a computer's performance. So if you are looking for a fast computer, don't just check the processor speed, but find out what the frontside bus speed is as well.
So kung ina.ani man gani... wai gamit imu 3.0ghz na procie if imu fsb kai 2.6 ra(which is the FSB of most if not all 785 mobos na ako gpangcheck)? might as well get a 2.6ghz procie if imu FSB kai 2.6 ra.... sakto bah?

thats where OCing comes to play

@OP unsa imoha purpose for the rig? budget?

imho get intel if you are using multithreaded applications, for budget constraints get the amd.

Among those, the best is probably the ud2h. There is also the UD3h now. For buget mobos, i really like gigabyte or MSI. di ko mo salig kaayo sa ASRock or Foxconn

+1 to erik on going AMD. Basta mid-end budget rigs, wlay maka pildi amd processors. i'm currently making 3 mid-end rigs powered by 2 phenom II x3 720BE and one phenom II x3 740 BE. I plan on unlocking the 4th core on these babies. When choosing budget mobo, suwayi lang kuha ug crossfire ready with at least x8 x8 configuration in case gusto mo crossfire/sli. don't go for x16 x4. x16 x16 is nice buy quite expensive

ang difference ana boss is that the 1st on your list uses p55 chipsets on socket 1156 boards. the second is mostly am3 boards from amd

so if d ka mag OC, nya ang FSB sa imu board is only 2.6ghz, imu 3.0ghz na procie kay tabla ra na 2.6?
