I just want to share my input. Now you have that freedom to post and promote your business here so long as you are not newbie, am i right? There is a separate thread for that. I think that whatever the outcome of your business dealings is totally your responsibility and the people you do business with. I dont think this website should be involved in any of that. Its hard enough to monitor postings. I think its nice enough to accommodate your needs to advertise your business however as a result, this site should not be responsible for whatever business transactions you engaged in. Its nice enough that they allow you to advertise anything beyond that is your responsibility. So there is no sense telling the world if somebody did not pay you or is doing bad business with you. Its very impolite. Know your netiquette. You just have to take care of that yourself on the side but not through this venue since that is already something personal.

    lizzie, you're welcome.

Streetcar, you're right. I hear you and you do have a very valid point. there's actually a thread discussion stemming from the rampant scams that occurred for a while now involving both buyers and sellers. it shows there why "newbies" are not allowed to post at the BST section. I think this would help newbies and even "older" members alike who venture into the "buy, sell and trade" section of this forum. in there, one would find some pretty good explanation on why buyers and sellers should have a "Junior" status for them to be able to post and transact in that section.

Should newbies be disallowed to post under buy/sell and pm access?

hope that would clear up misconceptions among newbies who would want to engage in some sort of business here. it's where the why's, the why not's and all other questions pertaining to the BST section are answered.

thank you streetcar for your inputs. being a newbie i do appreciate the chance, or should i say freedom (to quote you) i am given/was given to have a venue to post my little business. i also am very much aware that engaging in a transaction with anyone in the net is done at our own risk and i did mention that in my first post/query di ba? i also did not ask or come up with this new "thread" in order to be able to collect from the person, i just wanted to be sure lest i make a mistake. and honestly, i don't think that it is impolite - i do know my netiquette but the question is do others know that too?

the reason for my asking if there was a forum/thread for "grievances" (i used that word for lack of of any other word to use-couldn't think of one that time) was because i didn't want it to happen to others. and just like ebay where one is allowed to post a feedback re a seller/buyer. it serves to warn both parties - one to be careful about transacting with another party (one with a negative feedback for example), and the other would be that it might (just might) make people think twice about doing something that would "destroy" their name or reputation.

anyway, thank you again to you, to omad and to the forum....

    p.s.

    hope this ends the thread...
