When a thread reaches its "time" (5-6 days persay) it loses its value and slowly dies of. Once it reaches 2 weeks+ you can say it is officially dead. It however does not release from it's corpse, so you can revive it (ftw)
A forum moderator can however force it to release and it is sent to "the trash". Dead forever.
