I live in the UK but really want to understand more about the Philippines. It is for a research project for my boss! Can someone help me answer a few questions please?

Questions:

1. How many Philippino's have a computer and internet connection at home? What tends to be the speed of that connection?

2. What is the level of unemployment?

3. What is the average graduate starting wage?

4. What percentage of people go to university to get degrees?

5. If you have a degree, is it easy to get a job?

6. How many people work night shifts so they cater for Westerners?

1. How many Philippino's have a computer and internet connection at home? What tends to be the speed of that connection?
i can't tell how many Filipinos have computers & internets at home.. maybe only few (those who can afford).. mostly none.. and for these people who have none, yet want to surf a net, they just simply visit a cafe & do their stuffs... there are lots of internet cafes around... we just simply make use of it...

2. What is the level of unemployment?
there are too many unemployed Filipinos.... so i guess it's high... how high? that i don't know..

3. What is the average graduate starting wage?
it ranges from 7T-10T per month...

4. What percentage of people go to university to get degrees?
30-40%, i guess..

5. If you have a degree, is it easy to get a job?
well, you can get a job if you're not too lazy to find one... some people are just too laid-back that sometimes opportunities just slip through..

6. How many people work night shifts so they cater for Westerners?
i have no idea... all i know is that i'm working at daytime... but to the extent of my knowledge, i guess many have worked at night..



these are only just my own opinion....... maybe, others have different point of view...

ANS. 30%-40% the remaining rent computers in cafe

ANS. more or less 50%-

3. What is the average graduate starting wage?

ANS. minimum wage in Philippines answer by sir nolex

ANS. I think 40% but 10%-15% can't finish because of personal reason and their financial stability

5. If you have a degree, is it easy to get a job?

ANS. It depends on how hard you find a job. some matters on what we call the "backer or the endorser person as a character reference"
and others depend on your grade and experties.

6. How many people work night shifts so they cater for Westerners?

ANS. let me guess 30%-40% of the employed status in Philippines, but am not sure of it.
