AVAST or ESET? why?

i have avast in my pc and so far it has been protecting well, BUT, during updates, it literally takes over and the pc can not be used for any other applications. (it is a very ancient PIII 733Mhz only). i think that turning off the automatic updates defeats the design of avast.

i am considering uninstalling avast and installing ESET NOD32.

which is better for my old machine?

try using eset nod32 2.7.even if its the software is old it is still up to date

march 2011 pa man gud mo-expire akong avast. murag sayang man i-uninstall oi. kada update lang gyud ang problema ani kay di na makaya sa system tingali. kaging jud ang agi. ganado ra ba kaayo mo update. karon lang, twice sya nag update ug definitions in one day.

orig man kaha imo os? if so.. try microsoft security essential.. pwerteng gaana.. di jud mo lag anya free basta di pirated imo os ok ra.. gikan ako system from avg, avira, avast, nya eset before ko nag essential.

avira does not work for spyware..and thats a fact..because i seen many avira keep getting reformat their comp bec. of spywares..
