ipod problem needs help

i have a friend na nareformat iyang ipod,she was charging it until nikalit ug shut down ang pc
then by technical problem sa ilang office gi reformat ang pc na wala matang tang tang ang ipod
so naapil pag reformat iyang ipod.now,dili na cya kagamit kay na error na ang unit
any expert on this one what shall she do to fix it?thanks for your advises

refreshing the firmware will resolve the problem...download latest Ipod updater on apple.com or if your friend still has the IPOD utility CD, he/she can update the firmware on it.

@tolstoi thanks for replying,she downloaded it just before i post this thread yet after installing wla man ghapon ni work iyang ipod
still error was the result,is it because of noncompatability sa software na iyang na gamit?kay microsoft man iyang na dwn load,she used the cd installer also yet no good result,i advise na diri na lang nya ipaayo sa atua when she go home rather doing it by herself.
is it a possibility nga nadaut to pagformat sa pc?nya dili na ma recover?i dont have much knwledge on ipod coz basically i dont own one
so if anybody culd follow this thread and has good knwledge pls do help thanks

how come a microsoft program able to wipe out the Ipod data? must be some kind of a virus =)

just let your friend have it check in iStore banilad to be sure.

i'll email ur reply to her wla man gud n cya sa phil,she is working in saipan and having her kind of software/hardware problem is really hard to solve if ipacheck nya didto kay it's a small island with limited resorces but anyway.basiin ur right kay na erase man to while reformating the pc naapil sa partition (she sed) strange gyud,the technician who did the reformating even didn't realize/knw the ipod icon nga ni gawas pagpartition na.
her problem might happen to any ipod users nga nagcharge sa pc then na reformat without removing the ipod,after dili na nuon magamit kay mo error naman.
