How to patent your scientific breakthroughs and ideas?
it is in our psychological minds that reacts with in our thoughts, through actions, depending on you..
you can start browsing this site Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines
are you planning to have some ideas/designs/inventions patented?
kay akong papa almost 20 years na naningkamot nga makapatent sa iyang mga ideas/designs related to construction pero wala pa jud bisan unsa hangtod karon. sa ako pagsabot niya, you need to have a sponsor or you need to have the moolah/a lot of funds in order to get one. and dghan na siya naduol politicians to ask for help, wala may nakatabang.
he also asked for financial assistance sa kanang mga manufacturing companies, pero alkansi siya kay gnhan sila motan-aw first sa designs. unya mahadlok akong papa suhiron. mao na karon nga he's nearing 65 years old, he wants to take the risk na kay unsa pa man daw pulos nga itago-tago niya.![]()
1. You cannot patent an idea.
2. Your "scientific breakthrough" has to undergo the scrutiny of the global scientific community, approved and declared as a genuine breakthrough, and then, a practical application (i.e. technological device/process) has to be created, BEFORE it can be patented.
At any rate, one can still try to submit it to the patent office (after all, it's a free country), but expect your idea/"breakthrough" to be rejected.

Patent applied for (usually labeled with "Patent Pending") does not mean that the application has been approved--one might have one thousand patent applications for ideas, and the patent office does accept them, but unless that particular patent has been approved, then the application just remains to be a patent application. Please post an image of a document here, that shows the Patent office's approval of your friend's ideas. Unless you can do this, no one will take your claims seriously.
