    Found this on the Internet,

"ps/2 is actually better, The problems with USB are the cpu cycles it consumes, one IRQ for all devices that are plugged, mulitple devices on the USB bus have to share the bandwitdh of that bus and share IRQ with all other devices.

The ps/2 port on the other hand is dedicated to one purpose and one purpose only, mouse input. It doesn't have to share IRQ, it doesn't have to share and fight for bandwith and it doesn't consume nearly as many cpu cycles as USB."

I'm not so sure if this is really true.. But, makes sense though..

maybe this made sense 5 years ago but with the current developments in technology, it won't hold out true, much more in the future. nobody cares about ps/2 port anymore.
with a laser mouse, i think USB has better response. i think it's because USB has more power than PS/2? right? naa ba charger sa ipod using ps/2? haha just leave ps/2 for trackballs nlnh.

mao ra ni ang downside if mag ps2 ka na mouse:
if in windows g.remove mo ang mouse then gbalik mo taod ang imo pc dili mka detect sa mouse. you need to completely restart your computer to have the ps2 mouse detected again... whereas a usb mouse if i.remove mo then blik mo taod ang computer automatically modetect sa usb mouse and you could use it immediately
