If you dont want to wait for a year or so, why not consider going to HK and buy a factory unlocked unit ( for sure there will be after a few months from release ) and it will be cheaper even if you include the plain tickets for HK compared to the prices of Globe locked units.

It will be a couple months before it can be unlocked for phillipines. It does even come out til the end of the month. And the cost would be over 1000 USD. (50K php)
