Exclamation SUN Broadband Wireless OFFICIALLY in CEBU

SUN has finally launched their Wireless Broadband (SBW) service in Metro Cebu just last April. I managed to test out the speed with a demo unit in Ayala and it was quite satisfactory.

    SPEED

The average speed ranges from 200K to 500K – a transfer rate of 25KB/s to 60KB/s. I was a little bit disappointed with the ping times especially on the local test servers which ranged from 300ms to 500ms which is quite appalling since the servers are based locally. The same ping rate was seen on international servers which is quite normal due to the long distance.

    PLANS

    • Free 45 hours of internet per month
    • Modem not included – Pay P888 plus 2 months advance monthly service fee (P888+P700)
    • No Holding Period

    Easy BROADBAND (P799/month)

    • Unlimited Internet
    • Modem not included – Pay P888 plus 1 month advance monthly service fee (P888+P799)
    • 3 months holding period with modem

Well, most of Cebu City is covered by 3G, however, regarding the speed, I only tested it out in Ayala and it wasn't too bad at all. It's fine for the price you pay for

Nope, not yet though Although, you can register your SUN Sim to use 3G and purchase SBW reload cards.

yes Sun Broadband is in Cebu na and is very tempting ky barato ra but before getting it ask them about their Fair Usage Policy (FUP),instead of getting 2mbps you only get 5kpbs nalang ky murag naay data cap
