DAYAAN NA SAB!?
The Allege whistle blower NAPUD DAW sa scum about the recent automated election appeared on the public to prove they hacked the system.
This irritates most of us here IT professionals’, especially someone as stup1d as this guy. Nag pa gamit lang pra pag lawgaw and obviously don’t even know about technology. As expected in a situation like this, a high ranking official or politician will obviously backing this guy up; but no, he represents his group daw na what they’ve called “Players”.
They have manipulated kuno the system by overlapping the transmission from the original PCOS machine to their hacking device before reaching to the servers. Like the manual counting before “Dagdag Bawas” ang main function.
FYI: Pra sa kasayuran sa uban, dili intawn in-ana ka sayun pag hack/manipulate ang isa ka system especially a private owned program/codes (Not an Open source software)!
1st the transmittal it selft has an error trapping; each machines has its own identity to be recognize by the server. Ato e butang na duplicate nila ang machine which they have said; Both machines will report eventually to the server, ones it recognize double entry it will automatically pause/stop the processing and alert the administrators and an error report will be generated to be reviewed (a double entry) which is not allowed!
2nd ibutang lang nto na kuha nila ang mga data while transmitting or some other ways. It is still useless lang gihapon! All critical applications like sa mga Banks and Gov establishment softwares, uses Encryption and Decryption codes. Example: after inserting your votes and registered in the machine it will automatically Encryp the data from ABCD123 to *#$%#@$+ (Hala basaha na!) even an hard core hacker cannot read/Decrypt an encrypted data unless they have the source codes or something to start with. After the server verify/receives the data, it will then be Decrypted for us to be able to read. Not to mention the very tight Firewall system.
Mao nang few facts that runs this electronic election system, it is not that easy as it sounds.
