That "star" is actually the Planet Venus, and it's about to be eclipsed (or already so, as of this point in time) by the dark disc of the crescent moon. This eclipsing of one celestial body, by another, is called an occultation. See my "blow-by-blow" shots and video in the thread above.

I often see a case like this sa amoa everytime mag jogging ko... but I'm not sure if venus jud to or what... but nuon, chada tna-awon specially in an empty sky...

Anyone realize that, if you waited exactly until 7:36PM, and you were still watching it, you would have seen bright Venus being "eaten" by the dark disc of the moon?
