if you want to ace the exam, condition your mind that you will pass...^_^

you just have to focus to each of the four skills!
in reading, use the skim and scan techniques...
in writing, make sure to have a pattern for your answers: intro, body, conclusion!
in speaking, elaborate and give extended answers! inject some figurative language in your answers...
    in listening, just listen attentively!

Don't be late in the examination date. Let the test administrator know what module you are taking. If it's General or Academic

Listening has 4 sections. Each section has 10 questions.
TIPS: Look at the question first and identify the information needed
The recording is played only once so listen carefully
    answers are usually repeated
Write the correct spelling if the word is spelled in the recording
Listen carefully on the speakers who change their mind or commit mistakes coz the second
    choice is the answer
take notes as much as possible
    Don't leave any question blank
Listen carefully to the directions given by the speaker
Write your answers in the questionnaire at first coz you are given 10 minutes after to transfer
your answers to the answer sheet.

Reading has 3 sections and each section might composed 1-15 questions.
Tips: Read first the question and understand. Underline the key words from the question. Then skim or scan the passage to get the info. You may write anything in the questionnaire. As much as possible consume only 1-2 minutes in each question. The difficulty level is increasing. Know your task. Give direct answers. Make sure you write the correct spelling. Put in your mind that answers are all written in the reading passage.
Differences with YES/NO/NOT GIVEN ans TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN:
YES/NO/NOT GIVEN refers to the author's opinion. You say YES if and only if the whole statement given completely agrees with the author's opinion. NO if and only if some words in the statement given don't agree with the author's opinion. Not given if and only if you cannot find some information in the the given statement in the passage.
TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN is to compare the statement given to the passage directly. Take note that they might paraphrase the given statement but the meaning is still same with what it is in the passage. Write TRUE if the statement given completely agree with what is written in the passage. FALSE if some of the information in the given statement contradicts with what is written in the passage. NOT GIVEN if some information in the given statement is not mention in the passage.

WRITING:2 task. NOTE: Task 1 should be minimum of 150 words and task 2 should be minimum of 250 words. Reminder that task 2 takes 2/3 of your final rate in writing.
    Tips:
    Know your task.
Simply draw a line in the middle of the sentence where you make mistake.
Write at least 10-13 in every line so it would be easy to count the words you've written.
Write exactly for you intended reader. Ex. if you need to write a report to a university lecturer, you need write in formal letter.

SPEAKING: It's divided into 3 task. Simply deliver your answer direct to the point maybe about 1 sentence and should be in a complete sentence not just one word. Explain and give examples for about 2 to 3 sentences. Be positive if you are given a negative topic especially in task 3. Make sure you always make them feel that you like talking to them. They don't know you so remember that question asked is only to know you more and to know your point of view in the topics given.
