Yes, you've read it right. Limasawa island, where the first mass in the Philippines was held. Since then, whale sharks have been transients in the waters surrounding the island. Mostly, they are seen by fishermen from the month of February to May. But just recently, sightings of these gentle giants have been seen everyday for the past 90 days.

They are spotted in very shallow waters. The visibilty is very good.
How to Get There if You are Coming from Cebu?
1.) Take the Supercat or Weesam Trips Daily from Cebu to Ormoc.
Schedule Cebu-Ormoc Trips ( 5:45am, 11:15am, and 04:30pm daily ).
2.) From Ormoc, you could take a bus to Maasin City, Southern Leyte. Then from Maasin, you could take a Jeepney going to Padre Burgos.
3.) From Padre Burgos Port, you could rent fishing pumpboats. It only takes 40mins from Padre Burgos Port to Limasawa Island.
