Whale sharks in limasawa

Yes, you've read it right. Limasawa island, where the first mass in the Philippines was held. Since then, whale sharks have been transients in the waters surrounding the island. Mostly, they are seen by fishermen from the month of February to May. But just recently, sightings of these gentle giants have been seen everyday for the past 90 days.

They are spotted in very shallow waters. The visibilty is very good.

How to Get There if You are Coming from Cebu?

1.) Take the Supercat or Weesam Trips Daily from Cebu to Ormoc.
Schedule Cebu-Ormoc Trips ( 5:45am, 11:15am, and 04:30pm daily ).
2.) From Ormoc, you could take a bus to Maasin City, Southern Leyte. Then from Maasin, you could take a Jeepney going to Padre Burgos.
3.) From Padre Burgos Port, you could rent fishing pumpboats. It only takes 40mins from Padre Burgos Port to Limasawa Island.

I can also help accommodate you. If you check-in our Hotel ( Sugarland Suites ) in Ormoc City. We could pick you up from Ormoc Port. You could also rent one of our vans for only P350 per person, minimum of 10 persons, in going to Padre Burgos. A Large Pumpboat will be waiting for you at the Padre Burgos Port for P250 per person.

I'm not actually selling here bro. I am just here to accommodate. Mas maau ug mkagather ta ug other adventurers para minimal lang ang gasto. Per person cguro including fare sa Supercat and Hotel is P2,250 without the food pa ni ha. Very cheap. I could give discount sa hotel and sa Van up to 10% if Istorya member. My goal here is to let others know na naa pa mas nindt and mas cheap na way to interact with whale sharks than Donsol.

layo na kaayo kun via ormoc pa. naa may cebu-baybay direct. or better yet, cebu-hilongos. ako lang question, naa bay dive shop sa limasawa? kay hasol kaayo kun magda full tank byahe from cebu to leyte.
