MANILA, Philippines - Is Robin Padilla going to join "Wowowee"?

This came after ABS-CBN's Corporate Communications released a statement saying that an "Idol" is joining the top-rated noontime show in a special episode scheduled Saturday.

"Somebody is joining Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Carmen Soo, Kelly Misa, Isabelle Abiera and Jed Montero in the country's the top-rating noontime show!," the statement said.

"Watch out for a special Primetanghali this Saturday, May 15, and be the first to know Wowowee's biggest surprise!" the statement said.

Willie Revillame, who is the main host of the noontime show, has been absent from the show for days now, after he challenged ABS-CBN management to fire entertainment columnist and radio host Jobert Sucaldito.

This came after Sucaldito criticized contestants joining "Wowowee" in his column.

Revillame is currently "on vacation" abroad, sources told ABS-CBN News.
