Alternative to Intel's Q8300

I was wondering what is now a better alternative to Intel's Core 2 Quad Q8300.

Considering this CPU was released over a year ago.

Kung naa na kay existing parts, kana na lang or Q9550. Kung from scratch, pag i3, i5 or i7 na lang kay newer technology...

unsa imong current CPU? and what do you do with your computer? kay kung casual gaming, surfing, pr0n, ehemm...you might be suprised na wala kaayo'y difference between dual core and quad and magmahay unya ka sa imong upgrade.

I stopped gaming over a year ago and i want to go back hence, the cpu upgrade.

mo-support kaha imong board ug mga 45nm or bisan 65nm? kung gaming on LGA775, the E8xxx series are still MONSTERS!!!

mobo is the lame Asus P5N-MX but will upgrade if needed.

for now, which specific E8xxx series would you recommend?

pwede ug 45nm imong board bai pero ambot kung naa pa ba gabaligya diri ug E8xxx series kay kasagaran E7xxx ug E5xxx. kung limited jud ka sa budget, E7xxx nalang siguro pero E8xxx jud akong recommendation kay dako ug cache, taas ug clockspeed.
