freedom of choice ra na brad nga gipanghambog sa atoang sistema... pero ang kaapan lang sa "freedom of choice". it's a limited choice, it's either you are forced to take a job nga dili nimo ganahan kay mao ra ang available or you can't sustain yourself. And we have always assumed that our modern civilization have already abolished slavery? Think again.

Rare ra kaayo ang mga employees diha nga ganahan sa ilahang trabaho. Mo-ambak pa ko ug pangpang kung sayop ko ani nga asumpsyon.

hmmm. i believe that there are still certain good politicians out there. And it is our duty to use our mind to choose the right candidate. In our place, we are so lucky we have Mayor Jonas Cortes whom i consider as a politician that is not like the rest of them!

    according to legend:

stalin, on his death bed asked his two most aspiring replacements to come to him. he commanded that they be given two small birds and he told them to hold on to the bird and never let it get away. one of the aspirants held his struggling bird too tight, crushing its small body and killing it. stalin frowned. the other one, seeing what happened, held his bird too loosely and it escaped.

stalin then asked for a small bird for himself. once it was in his hands, he then removed every feather on its wing until a small, naked bird sat on his hand, shivering and unable to fly away and escape.

stalin then said, "And now the bird is even thankful for the hands that imprison him because of the warmth that it gives him"

---take from this what lesson you can---

    nice one.

i think this speaks of how the "powerful" uses and abuses the meek. they're left with not much of a choice and are made to believe that they ought to be thankful for the meagre opportunity they're getting.

fortunately or unfortunately, some just settle for whatever they have. if we really want to have better lives, we should set higher (but attainable) goals and strive to achieve it. if you think you're not getting enough from your job then work on improving your skills and get a better one. it's always a matter of choice.
