i think workshops is for enhancement nalang sa inyong skills, my case is different kay wala pako'y basics. Siguro 1 semester jud tingali kinahanglan nako para makat-on

you should have joined the Cebu Photography Workshop but the problem it already started yesterday... Speakers are from FPPF and are old timers when it comes to photography and am sure you will learn... dont just take any basic photography class because for me the basics are the main foundation and it shouldnt be half-baked. Get the basics from photographers that had been in the business for quite sometime and had grown some gray hairs... hehehe... Aside from the FPPF workshop (goes for 3-days @ 5500Php) you might want to get intouch locally with Ted Madamba who is also conductiong workshops I guess for two days..
