try known good video card, if issue will not be present on a new card, then guba imo 5500fx

try sad ug install a new driver version pra ana nga video card... if still the same unya imo na sad gihimo an mga suggestions above possible need na og replacement...

GF FX500 been that using before kadtong AGP pako. That card sucks coz daghan issues like incompatibilities, hang, garbage display etc...mao ni biya nako using AGP before. If I were you if you would still using AGP card use ATI Radeon para layo ka sa problema or else switch to PCIEX para di ka ma left behind.

sa ako last rig mao na ako gamit naka replace na gyud ko same model ang problem kay overheating una na card wala na fan mo toyok clog sa abog 2nd card capacitor ni give up

ask lang ko when ma daot ang screen kong na games or idle lang..if heavy ang graphics mo init gyud na then mo restart.

nka share nman ko ani nga topic..basta akoa kay 4 ka gforce fx 5500 na agp vcard jd damage, uban kay instead 256 memory, na 128 nlang...duda nako sa installer ni sa nvidia...akoa pod style sa fan kay giilisan nk ug box fan. mas ok akng nbantayan.. if nkay lain kaila bro try ask if pde masulayan ang imo vcard sa ila pc..basin agp slot pd dipiktoso, naka xperience npodko ana..

geforce fx5500 this card has alot of issues,,

this card really runs HOT, hate this card.

did you try optimal cooling for this card? and check for improvement.
