how to transport guitar

would a guitar(electric) fit into the overhead compartment of a plane? ... if not any advice on how to pack the guitar so it wouldnt break or something like that then would it cost me any extra baggage fee from the airline?

kato pag uli nako, wla mo sugot ang Northwest airlines sa akong guitar case. gusto nila kato gyud pang aircraft grade na case daw, kana gani Metal gyud make niya. sad to say, nabilin gyud akong electric guitar .

ok ra ang hard case, pero you need to loosen the strings bro. dili mo sulod ang guitar sa overhead compartment, kinahanlan jud na nimo e-check-in.

I've done it thrice. Twice, I had my hardcase checked in. One time, I used a softcase, the stewardess took it and placed it somewhere near the cockpit. After landing, she gave it to me.

Better if imo ingnun or tawagan daan ang imo lukatanan ug ticket bro ..Pero nada man nako ako ako electric gitar sauna..soft case ra cagayan to cebu..gi check in lang nuun.
