Default LF: Need Ug Gamayng Tambag

Ako motherboard mo support up to ddr2-533 nga memory (as per manual), i do have currently 2 pcs 512mb ddr2-533 sa 2 slots.

can i remove the 1pc 512mb ddr2-533, and replace it with a higher capacity ram, say for examble 1gig ddr2-667 or 1gig ddr2-800?

expert advice would be much appreciated, hala larga mga banggiitan sa istorya!!!
    salamat daan mga sho!

it depends bro, if mo support ang imong higher speed ram or lower speed.

    pariha aning nga ram

it is rated at 800Mhz, pero maka dagan ghapon siya og 667Mhz.

dont mix 533 w/ 667 or 800 mhz ram, kay ma boang imo board.

correct jud ka bro...puede ka muadd ug higher ram as long nga parehas lng jpon ila speed.let's say ang usa is 512mb then ang usa 1gig puede basta parehas cla 533mhz or 667mhz.hope nakatabang kmi.

mo quote ko ug line from a famous general knowledge website, let me know inyo opinion ani

"Higher performance DDR2 DIMMs are compatible with lower performance DDR2 DIMMs; however, the higher performance module runs at the lower module's frequency. Using lower performing DDR2 memory in a system capable of higher performance results in the bus running at the rate of the lowest performance memory in use; however, in many systems this performance hit can be mitigated to a small extent by setting the timings of the memory to a lower latency setting."

here is another line mga sho, lets see raw unsy opinion ani, ky medjo ga libog pud ko, notice the bold letters

""DDR2 PC2-4200 (commonly referred to as DDR2-533) memory is DDR2 designed for use in systems with a 266MHz front-side bus (providing a 533MT/s data transfer rate). The "4200" refers to the module's bandwidth (the maximum amount of data it can transfer each second), which is 4200MB/s, or 4.2GB/s.

DDR2 PC2-5300 (commonly referred to as DDR2-667) memory is DDR2 designed for use in systems with a 333MHz front-side bus (providing a 667MT/s data transfer rate). The "5300" refers to the module's bandwidth (the maximum amount of data it can transfer each second), which is 5300MB/s, or 5.3GB/s.
    PC2-5300 is backward-compatible for PC2-4200.

DDR2 PC2-6400 (commonly referred to as DDR2-800) memory is DDR2 designed for use in systems with a 400MHz front-side bus (providing an 800MT/s data transfer rate). The "6400" refers to the module's bandwidth (the maximum amount of data it can transfer each second), which is 6400MB/s, or 6.4GB/s. PC2-6400 is backward-compatible for PC2-4200 and PC2-5300.

DDR2 PC2-8000 (commonly referred to as DDR2-1000) memory is DDR2 providing a 1,000MT/s data transfer rate). The "8000" refers to the module's bandwidth (the maximum amount of data it can transfer each second), which is 8000MB/s, or 8GB/s. PC2-8000 is backward-compatible for PC2-4200, PC2-5300, and PC2-6400.""

correct gyud ayaw i mix kay ma boang ang board nimo..

can you elaborate "technically" the word "boang" sa motherboard? how would that be bro? medjo broad raman ang boang nga description..

d man cguro ma buang bro.
naa koy board sauna, 1x256mb 333Mhz and 1x256mb 400Mhz, la man nabuang akong board, pero the 400Mhz stick is running at 333Mhz.

try to check pud sa timing sa rams dapat parihas, kay naakoy 256mb nga 400Mhz CL2.5, dili siya mo work with 1gig 400Mhz CL3.0. same clock frequency pero dili parihag CL.

i have a 800Mhz sad before ako gibutang sa intel atom nga board. ok raman pud, the board can support only 533/667 Mhz ram, pero ni work man ghapon to ang 800Mhz nga akong gibutang.

back compatible gani bro is like for ex. 533 or 667 mo support ra na cya and 667 ug 800 mhz. mao na sa DDR2 category, beyond that is belong to DDR3 DIMM.

friendly advice lang ayaw e mix ang different kind of frequency nga ram.. coz they cannot communicate
to each other. otherwise mo stall na imo mobo.

But if u love to do so, then its up to u.
