DEAR ISTORYANS,
In behalf of Dilaab, I would like to invite you, your family, and your organization to join us in an early-morning fun run (brisk walk) Friday 9 April 2010 to express solidarity with other engaged citizens on the May 2010 elections.
The “Dagan Alang sa Matinud-anon, Hapsay, ug Malinawon nga Piniliay 2010” is a joint project of Dilaab, the PNP and AFP in collaboration with individuals and groups who desire honest, orderly, and peaceful elections through citizen’s vigilance and partnership with government agencies tasked with an election-related work.
The said run will have four assembly areas with different groups gathering at 430 am. The fun run itself will end up at the grounds of the residence of His Eminence, Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal at D Jakosalem St., Cebu City. A short program follows.
The Cebu run takes its cue from the first run 30 January 2010 dubbed “Takbo para sa Malinis, Maayos, at Mapayapa na Eleksyon 2010.” The run brought together leaders and personnel of the AFP, PNP, and the Church/other religious leaders. More sectors are expected to join the Cebu run.
PNP and AFP personnel will wear their physical exercise uniforms. Others are asked to wear no political colors or paraphernalia since the run is non-partisan. No one will be endorsed and there will be no partisan-political messages. We reserve the right to deal gently but firmly any infringement of this guideline.
For more info on the run pls call 231 9546 or 416 9073 and look for Bing Caminade. I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
FR. CARMELO O. DIOLA
Overall Coordinating Steward
