Question I'm buying my First Computer

    Hello Istoryans! Good evening!

I've been around for a while now and I find these people very helpful (some entertaining).
    Proud to be a Cebuano.

Anyway, I need to buy a computer.

So my question is what specifications would you recommend for my computer?
    I'll basically use it for:

    • Gaming (not much, just Call of Duty)
    • Basic internet browsing

What other considerations should I take before buying one?
Like, softwares? Anti-viruses? Back-ups? Air-conditioner? (don't mind the last one)

Also, I haven't picked a store yet but one friend recommended PC Express (due to wonderful customer service experience). So if you know of one (cheap one, preferred), kindly post here..

Please include the budget/price range of such unit (customized specifications or not).

And, what "must" accessories should I buy with it?

Basically maybe I just need to hear from you all about having a computer.
What do I need to know?

    Thank you, Istoryans.
    More power.

    @ rebbieboy:
    Thanks, Sir.

Hmm, murag PC Express jud diay ko ani.
Bitaw, ang COD kay bug-at pud ug specs and we can actually leave that off; I bet I can live without it.

Pero I think Prototype shares the same system requirements as with COD, and I want it in there too.

Also, about owning/having a computer, wasn't it like I needed to have a license for the Operating System?
Does Vista come handy nowadays? Or XP lang?

    Hehe, noob jud.
    Thanks, Sir.

Vista? Naa pa diay namaligya ana? hehehehehe. If you want, you can go with 7. If dili, then XP ka. If ako lang, Need to have Genuine OS.

Sa specs, patabang ug kaila nimo ang tech or kanang nakahibalo. Why? Daghan kaayo mosuggest sa istorya but puro mga milyonaryo. Read topics about here sa istorya, and you know what I mean.

how much is your budget? dont worry about softwares since dali ra na nimo makuha. whats important is the hardware. if kaya sa imu budget get an a.c. kay grabe init jud ron. it would be a big help labi na gaming ka which is provides more heat than just normal pc usage.

pc express, pc quickbuys and gaisano interpace. the top 3 cheapest stores in cebu.

accessories? keyboard, mouse, speakers, webcam, mic, avr or ups. depends on ur budget again.

kung gaming PC, mao ni ako suggestion to consider in terms of priority:

    1. LCD monitor -- buy the biggest size you can afford. ideally 1920x1080, 23-24"
    2. GPU -- buy one that can drive your LCD monitor to get average of 60 FPS sa games nga gusto nimo
    3. CPU -- get at least a dual core procie, above 2.5GHz
    4. RAMs -- 2x2GB, at least

The rest, ibalanse na sa imo budget.
