Care for VFTs is very simple and as long as you follow these instructions I think that you should be able to make them live.

*When you get them they will already be potted in a potting mix that I have found to work well with my VFTs so DO NOT REPOT THEM.
*The require a lot of water. I use filtered water put a water dish under the pot. I get from the water that I drink delivered to me in those 5 gallon containers. If you find this expensive then just use tap water kept in 1.5 bottles for at least 2 days.
*They LOVE the sun so put them under direct sunlight just make sure they don't dry out.
*They are plants and insects are just an added bonus to their survival. YOU DO NOT NEED TO FEED THEM.
