Default Heading for a crash.. - Please do volunteer : PPCRV

an analysis taken from : BusinessWorld Online: Heading for a crash

Strategic Perspective -- René B. Azurin
    Heading for a crash

    ...

    Paragraph 4..

..... "The Smartmatic proposal states that, as the ERs [Election Returns] from the PCOS [Precinct Count Optical Scanner] machines are received in the canvassing center, a report on which PCOS ERs have been received will be printed every 15 minutes... When all the PCOS ERs have been received, the COC [certificate of canvass] will be printed... [but] that contains only the total votes received by each candidate at the canvassing center. There is no breakdown by PCOS." In essence, this means that no practical way has been provided in the process for any citizens’ watchdog to verify if what was transmitted from each individual polling place is what was actually consolidated in the COC that will be used as basis for proclaiming the winners. Even with ERs from a particular precinct or polling place in their hands, poll watchers will have no way of comparing the numbers on these ERs with the numbers tallied by the Smartmatic system.

    ....

Wow.. puwede ra diay ni ihardcode.. at precinct level okey lang.. pagforward sa ER to higher level, dagdag bawas na dayon..

Sa mga members sa IT support/Supervisor nga gihire sa Ventureslink, "did you ask this question or you were simply told on how to operate the PCOS machine or you simply just don't care kay suweldo na ni"??

To all who will Volunteer : PLEASE KEEP/FORWARD YOUR PRINT OUT of PRECINCT LEVEL VOTING!!.. i have seen from Comelec infomercial that every party will be given a print out of the votes, including PPCRV.. problema kung naa ba gyud mu-tally sad ani to counter check kung sakto ba ang print out sa Total # of Votes nga giconsolidate at a municipal/city/district/national level..

gibo is so winning this election.

if naa lang kay gamay nga knowledge about computers and information tech, makaingon jud ka nga this computerization thing is either a scam or a disaster waiting to happen.

    things to note:

    -gidalidali ang implementation
-the data transmission infrastructure in the philippines obviously cannot handle the requirements (security, speed, reliability, etc) of the system. (di man gani makahatag ug sakto nga LANDLINE (very old tech) connection sa mga bukid bukid, kani pa kaha.)
-gloria's camp is NOT fighting the implementation (they should be, they are TraPos. obviously, na ni plano ang mga unggoy)
-the details of how this thing will really work is unknown (details nga makapalingaw ug IT people, i mean)
-they are already acknowledging errors in the system and are making up excuses na (paanad ni, pareha anang magcge ug brownout brownout magkaduol ang eleksyon)

Out from the voting precinct ...

i do not underestimate the security experts of smartmatic.. they must be among the top considering that they were able to get the project..

what most people want is transparency.. nindot baya ang project nga automation at least a day later tapos na ang utong kay gawas na ang result.. kay naa na dayon tanan.. may unta ug pareho sa accounting ni, naa view total.. naa sad view per district for national level positions, ug view per precints kung city/municipal level..

im also happy to know nga naa sad diay Public Website nga iopen.. as of now baya, maglisod na ug search sa precint using comelec nga website..
