    Default DANGER in QATAR

Thought this information will be useful to everyone.
I just got this info from my collegue.

Important notice please read... DANGER in DOHA

PLEASE SPREAD THIS TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN, HELP SAVE LIVES OF OTHERS.

    READ CAREFULLY...

PEOPLE IN DOHA SHOPPING MALLS AND CROWDED STREETS (like: National area, Najma, Industrial area and Al Wakra) might approach you to buy a perfume if you refuse they may still insist you try the sample smell. The smell has a killing gas, which will eventually kill you.
Reported by the Qatar government and Qatar police, 18 people have already died and 35 are still in hospital.
Please pass this messages around to everyone you know.
They spoke about it live yesterday.

Beware: I repeat, do not smell any perfumes from any random people outside, unless they are from authorized agents in proper perfume stores.

It can also happen in any country.

This is an effective form of terroristic attack.

Whenever there is a line that says "Please pass this to your friends" the information is questionable.

I got this post from another forum:
Killer perfume rumours raise stink in the Gulf
Abu Dhabi police and Qatar’s health ministry have moved to play down fears that a killer perfume batch is on the loose after a rumour was spread by text message to mobile phones.
Abu Dhabi’s official WAM news agency quoted police chief Colonel Maktoum Sharifi as formally denying the rumour about the wares being pushed by wandering perfume sellers.
The text messages claimed 18 people had died after using the unnamed perfume and that another 35 had been admitted to intensive care in hospitals in Abu Dhabi and in Qatar.
Col Sharifi said the rumours were “without substance,” and did not rule out differences between perfume sellers as being behind the campaign.
In Doha, a health ministry spokesman was quoted by the state QNA news agency as urging people not to believe the rumours and to tell the authorities if anyone manages to sniff out who started the scare.
And the post date was December 2008
