Question Job Discrimination; True or False?

POV lang guys: Why man usually when we look for work gina base jud sa educational background and not sa skills?

There are some na high school grad ra pero mas maayo pa sa college grad. Diba dapat give chance sa? What you think?

depends on what position... there are positions that the skills needed are based on the educational background... however the skills cant be determined yet that's why there is what you call an interview and also training... before you fully get the job...

Having a college degree is necessary for most of jobs. Why? Its business, your employers are investing in you. Skills only manifest after doing the job, thus requires hiring you. There is no point in hiring someone who is clueless in what he is doing. Having a college degree, lets your employer know something about you, that you actually know something. Thus, having less risk of hiring someone they don't need.

If high school graduate ka, expect nalang na your work will be a "blue collar job".

A blue-collar worker is a member of the working class who typically performs manual labor and earns an hourly wage.

Sayon raman na.... if ganahan ka na nindot kag trabaho. Then work hard and finish college.

hmmm... para nako, I think its a case-to-case basis jud.. coz there are certain jobs who need specific educational backgrounds.. and there are some skills that are only taught in school pero, if you think na you really have the skills pero high school grad lang ka, I suggest you take some short courses sa TESDA.. helpful au ni for you to find jobs not just here sa pinas but even abroad
