members from dumaguete, bohol, leyte/samar, and northern mindanao have risen in numbers for the past years here in Istorya, driven by the common cebuano dialect and encompassing both transient workers/students based in cebu and the native forumers who live in their respective locations outside of cebu but still enjoy the forums

those places sure have their own online forums but nothing equates to the reach and accessibility of Istorya.net

so i'm asking the admin and the moderators if this would be possible? a regional subforum for the places i've mentioned or even more?

totally would not agree, because they would be talking about things not necessarily found in cebu.. well, we could always put filters in the creation of threads

What would these forums discuss? Instead of discussing "Si batman" (random General Discussions topic) ... perhaps "Si batman" with a Dumaguete flavor? Give me a topic that would absolutely require a regional forum.

That suggestion is somewhat like making another FORUM....

that you already mentioned "nothing equates to the reach and accessibility of Istorya.net"

imagine how boring that Regional forum would be? so they would have their own general discussions? humors? etc?

and I bet... there will always be discrimination from some small brained members....

saying from dumaguete "leyte is so KAKA."

from leyte "dumaguete is so chuka..." war will erupt.... more work for moderators and nuisance for the members..

If I may elaborate my first reply:

All the sections in this forum are not bound by geographical limits.

Meaning to say that the spiritual and occult experiences you had in Dumaguete can be discussed in S&O.
That a certain basket weaving style unique to Aklan can be discussed in Hobbies & Crafts.
A topic about a famous restaurant in Bacolod can be created in Food & Dining.
Discussions about your favorite FM station in Davao can be made inside Music & Radio.
Call Center in Cagayan is hiring? > BSTC - Jobs

The list goes on and on.

And if ever there should be a need to create a particular thread about a specific place outside Cebu... do it in the Destinations section.

That's why I said it's redundant.
