Thanks to a story on San Jose Mercury News, we learned that Yushuing Lui, Marketing Director at nVidia Corporation landed himself in jail following his alleged comment last Thursday. Mr. Yui boarded a Cathay Pacific flight from San Francisco [SFO] to Hong Kong [Chek Lap Kok - HKG] in business class and this is when the alleged incident occurred.
A flight attendant was taking the jacket away from nVidia's Marketing Director for Asia and asked him did the jacket contained valuables. Mr. Lui allegedly made a bomb joke - "I have a bomb in my jacket." Following this incident, Flight Attendant called San Francisco Airport Police and Mr. Lui was arrested on spot. The plane departed without Mr. Lui, who faces prosecution for misdemeanor. The trial is set for March 8, while Mr. Lui remains in Bay Area awaiting trial. According to Mr. Lui, he made a comment about something valuable in his pocket, not the bomb. In any case, it remains to be seen with whom the judge will side with.
Following Pan Am's Flight 103 crash at Lockerbie [Scotland] in 1988, many regulations have been brought forward in order to protect the lives of travelers. One of such regulations was immediate disembark people if you went so far as mentioned the B-word inside an aircraft and going as far as landing the plane at the first available airport. This was firmed following different terrorist attacks such, as Air France 8969 in 1994, 9/11 in the United States and so on. Long story short, if flight attendants hear the B-word, they are obliged by law to immediately inform the authorities, regardless of your statement being a joke or not.

lol @ the comments on the same page:
he had a fermi in his coat
everyone was afraid he would try to overclock it and it would explode killing everyone with molten wood screw shrapnel
That was on his mind because he was thinking about how Fermi is going to bomb pretty soon.
