are u still entertaining going to US at this time of great recession? nobody will know when will this end...but if u want to know about NCLEX u can go to www.ncsbn.org ky mao ni web sa tanan board of nursing sa USA. look and compare their requirements. as to geography, u have a lot to choose from but one tip...choose d place where most of ur family are. this will help u adjust for sure...
each state has different fees as well as the reciprocity fees. its another process also and there are states which have special agreements with other states that one can practice nursing without applying for reciprocity. Example...COMPACT STATES. read more about it so u will understand more!
as to Canada compared to NCLEX, i dont think one wud be able to compare with Canada. however, i think canada has 2 different exams (as i have heard) and one of which is not acceptable in US for nursing practice.
for Review centers, there had been a lot of repeated threads here regarding that. u just have to go over them!
if mag review center ka.. i would suggest gapuz... sulit jud kaayo. naa pay one on one a day before your sked sa manila.. basta make sure lang na consecutive imo correct answers para mo stop ka og mga 75-80.. kay if correct anya wrong puli puli.. abtan nlng kag 200+ draining na.. or if sagunsun pud wrong.. hagbong pud ka.. you'll know man when ur prepared.. saunders ra ako gamit kay ang kaplan di kaayo gamit.. ingon sila lisud ang california but k ra man... u can choose vermont if you want..
gapuz was around 17k comprehensive na..
goodluck nimo...
i wud say there wud b NO difference on the test per state ky gikan ang questions tanan sa ila questions pool done by the nurses council all over US. to be honest, NCLEX is based on difficulty level depending on ur status everytime u answer the previous question. mao na if u will sense that most of ur questions are getting easier each time u advance to the next item...that will mean, ur answers previously are mostly WRONG. but everytime u go to the next question and it gets more difficult like in a category of critical thinking, treatment or evaluation which gives u more points ...then, that wud mean ur answers previously were CORRECT.
either ways u go, if the computer sensed it that it is consistent...then that is the time it will SHUT down for a decision whether U PASS or NOT! this is the mechanism of the test per se!
self review dude, if you have the funds then review, but unlike me, I will just have to rely on faith the most, perseverance and diligence 2nd and intellect lastly.
there are a lot of books out there that are good, however, just focus on one book para di ka malibog, one book may say another thing or something like that. Make sure you take some practice tests. Kaplan has actually the best NCLEX review material IMHO.
