Until April 1, 2010 nalang ang green passport. Ilisan na ug machine readable passport mao na ang color brown. Mao na pauli ko next month para Ilis ug passport. December pa unta expire akoa mao ni Memo ako nadawat:


The Cebu Regional Consular Office wishes to your association relative to the Department's notice, concerning the issuance of Machine Readable Passports.

The notice is in relation to the announcements made by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) a United Nations body, which prescribed those member countries like the Philippines, must issue a Machine Readable Passports effective 01April2010. Since the Machine Readable Passport has a machine readable zone (MRZ) containing a data summary of the passport holder that could easily be checked by a machine or passport reader at the ports os entry thus facilitating the evaluation of the passport and visa. Filipinos based abroad are also encouraged to apply for the renewal of their passports whenever they are in the Philippines for vacation or other important matters.

In this regard, RCO would like to request your assistance to extend this information to all your respective members in the association.

its not true...

mao na ila na gisulti. but sa kato wala pa na expire na green pasport pwde pana ma use then inig expire na dha naka ma brown inig renew. dili na cla mo release ron ug green. mao na akoa na hear sa news.
