the rebuttal is expected because China is the biggest potential single volume consumer as well as production considering their population and these people have interests in China.

i find Chanos' theory relevant, practical and strong.

everybody is always against a bubble, that is the beauty of it just like pyramiding and that is the very reason Chanos is known to be a contrarian investor. people saw it coming but they refuse to see it coming.

e.g. subprime loans and healthcare deterioration in the States which caused the current recession.
