problem installing windows 7

Guys i hope some1 can enlighten me on this one.
i have an old neo laptop 2 years old that is running on windows xp.
i want to do an upgrade. but somehow. whenever i install my windows 7 cd. so far i have no issues with past installs.

it got an error error code 0x80070017.


i tried googleing the problem and did what is posted. and reburned the cd in a much slower speed 2x. tried using + and - dvdr's and even rw's
but to no avail.

can sum1 help me!?

hehehe mao pud nang ako gi hunahuna.
i sold my original cd and kept my cdkey thinking i can do with a burned cd so far ok man been doing this with my other pc and laptop with no problem what so ever.

the problem is with this laptop. i dont know why. i was thinking the hardware the cdrom perhaps hinay na mubasa ang beam? is it possible?

mag load man no problem but when it's installing hangtud expanding windows files rako sunod error na.

If wa kapasar imong hardware specs sa WIN7 most likely mao ang issue ana bro...

Also try using different WIN7 DVD para ma confirm jud nimo asa ang problema. Me too I also got a sound issue in using WIN7 ni balik nalang ko gamit WINXP kay wa jud ko blema ani.

will try to get back my orig cd 2mrw but for now. im trying to revert it back to xp.
but i cannot. im screwed!!!

1.6 centrino
1.5 gig ram
40 gig hd

i think its more than the minimum requirements sa win7.

possible would be that your cd is corrupted. try installing in another pc/laptop if symptoms would persist.

i did it boss used the same cd to install it.
ako gi install karun kay acer aspire 4630z with no problems.

ah!!!!!!!!!! mabuang na gyud ko ani! gabii pako cgeg burn install and burn again!

boss unsaun pag balik sa windows xp kung nka missing bootmgr?

well you could try USB boot install if supported sa imong bios la laptop ^^
