if your talking about emo in a way that Fall Out Boy or Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are emo then naa daghan kaayo. Infact you may not realized but most "emo" bands na popular today are christian bands mostly under Tooth and Nail Records.

Underoath pinaka popular nila. Heavy Metal band ni sila pero around 2003-2006 ni sidestep ni sila and did some emo albums.

here are some examples. they're all from Tooth and Nail records except where noted

Anberlin (formerly on Tooth and Nail. now that they're bigger they are now signed to Universal Republic)
    Emery
Mae (distributed by Tooth and Nail)
    August Burn Red
    Dead Poetic
FM Static (side project of the heavier band Thousand Foot Krutch)
The Almost (side project of Underoath's drummer)
    Copeland
    Since October
    Worth Dying For (Integrity Music)

and the famous of them all.... PARAMORE...although not associated with the CCM Scene but the fact that all band members are christians and most of their songs deal with faith and struggles. Pero those bands mentioned above puro jud na silaa "certified christian bands" signed on christian label...

dili tanan. Naa si Corey Crowder who is country rock and there's Aaron Sprinkle's solo releases na mga folk/country.

Then naa pod Joy Division na may pagka electronica and Starflyer 59 na medyo may pagka indie rock/britpop style then their very first band Wish For Eden ky grunge

However almost all albums sa tooth and nail mapa metal, emo, punk, or whatever ky kasagaran gi produced ni Aaron Sprinkle.

naay daghan!!! August burns ako gahana! kayasa sad anang MAE oi, waaaaaaaa!! T_T huhuhuhu

pero pra nako, ang august burns kay d mana xa emo... emo tali ang lyrics pero ang mga riffs, layo ra ayo!!!! metal ayo ang mga riffs, drums! cool! inline na sila sa christian metalcore...mora gani ug screamo... August Burns Red - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for more info for august burns. silingan rana sila sa As I lay dying.

hmm actually none of those bands i mentioned above are emo by my book. however in today's definition of emo, those can be accepted as such...

Yeah bug-at bitaw ang August Burn Red...

pero i'm glad these kind of music became mainstream earlier this decade. Atleast they killed rap-metal hehehehe..

im nothing against rap-metal pero kasagaran man gud na mainstream sa rap-metal (with the exception of Linkin Park) mga bati unlike today na nindot ug mga songwriters and arrangers ang na mainstream nga "emo". Personally i don't like this kind of "emo" at all pero i can't deny the fact that lyrically and musically these bands kick ass!

bro, how do you define emo? i agree with your first statement that FOB and RJA are emo but please don't put the other bands such as Underoath, August Burns Red and Anberlin in the same room with those freaks. if you're thinking that because the band's members are christian then they are a christian bands, well you are gravely mistaken. put to example, anberlin. yes their song speaks about love and god and stuff but that doesn't make them a christian band more than anything else, an emo band. Stephen Christian stated in an interview that it's up to people to label them as christian band but they do not consider themselves as one.
