hard drive file transfer

i currently have a 200 gb hard drive partitioned into 2. 1st partition is C: where my OS is stored while 2nd partition is D: where my IMPORTANT files are. now im planning to get a new hard drive. how am i gonna be able to transfer my files to the new hard drive considering i want to put my OS in there and make that drive my primary and wanting both drives to have no partitions. should i format the new drive first then install OS in that new drive then copy the files from my old drive? is that possible since i have an OS installed in my old drive? also, what is the file system of windows vista and windows 7? is it NTFS? and which OS is better or suitable for gaming?

@ grey, make your old HDD a slave nalang, then make your new hdd the primary, sa boot sequence ra man cguro pwede ma set, den its up to you na if you will format your old hdd partition containing your old OS, and leave it as is ang 2nd partition containing your files,

win7 goes NTFS...i think la naman kaayo nag FAT32 karon, kay dili man maka handle og dagko na file ang FAT32, (like dili ka maka transfer og whole 5gb file to fat32) not sure tho...basin naa uban ma suggest, hehe just an idea lang...

ganahan man gud nako ibutang akong files sa new drive kay medyo daan2x na ni akong existing drive. basin mamatay nya ug kalit. hehe. my plan is new drive master then old drive is slave or pwde sad old drive master then new drive slave. but i have to copy my files first kay mag ilis kog OS then ireformat sad nako akong old drive para wala nay partition.

pwd pud gamit ka Acronis TRue image para ma clone imo hardrive kung kapoyan kag reformat,,,, pero mas nindot jud fresh install....go 4 windows 7- NTFS.........

try to use seagate discwizard..then clone ur old HDD to new HDD..all files will be copied (OS, programs, etc.) because it copies sector-by-sector in your old HDD..

clone nlng bro... pero ambot lang sa acronis, nag clone q pero hinay man mu load inig startup oie... unsa pay lain cloning programs guyz nga nndot?
