    Default which one first?

planning to upgrade my pretty outdated pc but im kinda confused where to start. im working with a tight budget so i wanna make sure i make the right choice. i dont really wanna spend much since im not really that much of an enthusiast but i do like gaming so i need a setup thats capable but not a high end one, probably a low-mid range configuration, something that will last me a year or 2 with current and coming games. if i could still retain a part in my pc like ram or videocard, much better. also planning to get a new mobo with at least 4 sata since my current mobo only has 2 and i also need more ram slots for future add-ons/upgrades if needed. post here your suggestions/recommendations and if possible prices and where sold.

    heres my current poor configuration:
    motherboard: asus p5s-mx se
    processor: intel pentium 4 3.0ghz lga 775
    ram: 2 x 1 gb kingston ddr2
    videocard: xfx 8500gt 512mb 128bit
    psu: generic 500 watts

Kung upgrade.. getting a new board and processor would be tantamount to buying a whole new pc.

Another issue sa imong case is your memory.
Timing nga mahal ang prices sa RAM. Sayang imong existing 2gig ddr2 ram and sayang sad to spend for another 2 gigs ddr2 since ddr3 na mga new pc karon.

If pang 1 or 2 years lang.. better to spend the least amount of money to squeeze out the max amount of performance. Also, plot your upgrade path such that when you finally decide to get a new system (junk your board), you will still be able to utilize the newer components you bought.

    My upgrade recommendations:

Option 1: keep existing board, drop in upgrade the cpu, get new videocard

    1. 2. CPU - Intel E7400/E7500 C2D - 5-6k
    2. Radeon HD 4770/5750 - 5-6k
    3. PCI to SATA Card (cdrking) - 420 pesos
    4. Branded PSU - 500watts (Silverstone ST50F) - 4k (optional - will explain later)

    Total Cost: 10.4k to 16.4k

    Option 2: Totally new PC

    1. Athlon II X2/X3/X4 620 (2.6Ghz Quad) - 3-5k
    2. Asus/MSI Board - 3-4k
    3. RAM 2G-4G DDR3 - 2-4k
    4. Radeon HD4770 / 5750 - 5-6k

Optional - Silvertsone ST50F (optional: depends if you're ok with ur generic PSU) - 4k

    Total Cost: 13k - 23k

Theoretically, you could get away without having to upgrade the PSU since the 4770/5750 do not require that much power.
Most people (myself included) wouldn't feel comfortable about running their systems on a generic psu.
PCX diay ni ang basis sa prices... wala pa ni gi factor in ang cash discount.

Since limited to 15k lang ang iya budget, an E5300 + Hec Raptor + HD 5770 is a much better choice.

dili ba mu sobra with the 5770 prices diri sa pinas? Nindot gyud hinuon ang 5770. If maka afford sa price sa 5770 karon.. go for it.

Pila diay ang E5300 and HEC Raptor?
