I've been following you since the first time you ask about C#, seems that you’re comfortable working on your school projects. Anyway, the fact that your knowledge is quite limited (well, as of this time temporarily), try to pick, simple but usable & helpful project. If possible, include some sort of storing and retrieving datas… Simple applications I can think of are the following:

1. Phone book directory
2. A simple library system
3. Billing System (50 items?)
4. Payroll (salary computation)
5. Desktop reminder (events, meetings, holidays, occasions, etc…)

A lot of examples on NET, you can grab those and study their codes... the best way is to design first the User Interface, how the system works, how should it look like, I hope you already know how to handle CLASSES/OOP. you really need that...
