Win 7 Prob

i've installed windows 7 on a certain pc and after installing everything including the drivers..naa man cya'y tendency na mu freeze for around 2-3 mins. then ma uli an. i've tried disabling aero, ni okey na unta, however, after an hour or use, mbalik ra ang problema. para nko, dli man unta issue ang aero considering nindot pman ni ug video card.

specs of the pc:
cpu: core 2 duo 1.60ghz
ram: 2 gb
board: asus board (take note, sound driver ra akong nakit an ani, wla ko'y driver sa uban)
vc: radeon x1950xt 512mb
hd: 1x60gb and 1x40gb

if naa mo'y nahibaw an issues or anything na makatabang, palihug lng ko ug post...salamatz

to the mods..i'm sorry but i am still unable to discern if this is a hardware or software issue, however, naa man dre sa hardware ang mga banggi-itan..so dre lng nko i post...thanks.

i had this before and problem is the RAM module... i replaced it and now works like a charm...

I think this issue should be considered. Btw is your version of windows 7 genuine or rc or beta

I also had problem with windows 7 with WMP12 pero and still now Im isolating the problem. Pero hopefully I can solve this issue of mine.

About your prob did you checked the WHQL motherboard boards of ASUS and as you checked mostly ASUS mobo has updated all drivers for WINDOWS 7 so check it out their site.

I think your problem has something to do with mobo not qualified for WINDOWS 7 maybe later or driver issues.

yes, am using genuine win 7...i have a feeling that this might be driver issues...will be rechecking asus' website again tonight...i will also try to replace the ram...will update soon...thanks!

Bro heres the WHQL link of most asus mobo then check if your mobo is certified Windows 7.

thanks for the list..unfortunately the board is not on the list...tsk! btw, the board model is p5vd2-mx SE...quite an old board

Yup if its not certified that maybe the cause but maybe later on they would update those old mobos enable to run WIN7 as well.

Windows 7 RC Randomly Freezes for 2 minutes then Returns to Normal <---this is my exact problem! they say something about setting the power settings to high performance, will also give this a try
