I searched a couple pages down and I didn't find any threads on the subject. What are everyone's thoughts on the government changing the flag? I am very much opposed to adding to the flag to "accommodate" Muslims. Let me say, I have no problem with the Muslim community in the Philippines in fact half of my family is Muslim. However, I cannot accept the fact that they are trying to change the historical meaning of our beautiful flag, the 8 rays of light standing for the provinces that stood against Spain, in order to make a group that is a minority in the country feel more "welcome" It's political correctness at it's very worse. This is not "nationalist propaganda" in any sort of way. I'm from the US and I just recently heard of this abomination and I'm just very upset over it. Please feel free to disagree with me as you see fit. I welcome all sides to this story.
