MANILA, Philippines—A 32,000-square-foot photo mosaic of Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay was unveiled by the City government at the University of Makati before noon Friday.
The gigantic mosaic, composed of 120,000 photos of Makati and its constituents, forms a huge image of a smiling Binay, who is running for vice president in the 2010 elections under the opposition party UNO.
The photo mosaic, laid out on the open field of the University of Makati, was was unveiled by 100 students at 11 a.m.
In an interview, Binay claimed the city government had not spent a single cent for the photo mosaic, which was apparently given as "gift" by a private company.
Binay stressed that the photo mosaic will serve as an entry to the Guinness Book of World Records.
