Smile TORN between canon500d or NikonD5000

Hello fellow istoryans. I know a lot of you mga masters na sa photography using dslr. I have planned for a year and 4 months to buy this heart melting gadget. Now the wait will finally be over. In two weeks time I will be a proud owner of a DSLR but......which one to choose? I have researched through the net about these two and one seemed to be of an advantage to the other. I would be very happy to hear your opinions and tips on which one to choose kay most of you have used na ani nga model and truly have a say compared to reviews.

I must say that the features are really the ones convincing me to buy or not to buy this (either 500d or D5000) And the highlight for canon is the hd movie mode. If i'm not mistaken nindot kau ang quality nga gi pildi ang camcorder. The price still matters ,basta dili lng mo lapas sa budget.

So fellow enthusiast of DSLR's can you help me decide which is which. Through your opinions and tips at least di ko manghinayang sa unit nga akong i.purchase
    .

Salamat daan ninyo and happy shooting(dili ma musil ha)

Canon EOS 500D / Rebel T1i review: Verdict, 500D / T1i vs 450D / XSi vs 50D vs Nikon D5000 vs Olympus E-620 A good unbiased comparison. hehehe! For me, I'd take the 500D. That's just me, because I'm already sold to Canon. haha! But I'm very sure that Nikon D5000 is also a high contender. One thing that really makes me admire the 500D is the HD video. hahaha!

If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly DSLR though with powerful features and image quality to match, the Nikon D5000 is a great choice

You don't stay being a beginner forever, get the other one instead =)

Yup. ur in the right section.

You might want to consider the fact that nikon d5000 doesn't have an internal autofocus motor so older lenses specially the classic and favorite 50mm 1.8 by nikon will not autofocus in this camera and some third party lenses. of course you can always do manual focusing.

500D has internal AF motor so you won't have any problem.
