I've seen the original demo in another TEDTalks video about 6 months ago. Pretty amazing. Seems the guy is intent on making all this open source (rather than selling it to say, Microsoft or Apple). Interesting choice.

Yep, currently in R&D, but perhaps available for consumers within 2-3 years na (maybe even sooner).

just sharing what i know and i think... as ive read from other articles its about some device thingy...
what im trying to say is, there is a scientific explaination to the phenomenon we consider as the "sixth sense"
ive seen CAT scans that shows a particular pattern every time the subject is shown a certain object.. using such discoveries.. there are lots of potentials here
