    That video brings embarrassment to our country though... now we will really be known worldwide for our immaturity and childlike demeanor.

    sa mga butang sa ubang nasod wala ilha

    Enforced dancing is more suited to North Korea than a democratic country. I really worry about pinoys who are proud of this video, because they don't seem to realize that we have become the butt of a cruel joke. I saw a CNN special on this on TV and it seemed to me the anchors were very sarcastic about the whole thing and seemed always on the verge of laughing in between snickering to each other.

    ...and China as in the Beijing Olympics and the recent 50-year anniversary of the founding of Mao's P.R.O.C.

    If it's true, then yes. But do you have any evidence that the dancers in the Olympics were forced to dance? From what I know, on the larger sequences the participants were members of the People's Army and they volunteered to be part of the sequence. Think about it, there are hundreds of millions of soldiers in China, and relatively only a very few slots available for dancers in the Olympics. If anything they must have had a problem with too many people wanting to be a part of the act but too few slots available... not a good analogy at all.

    I think dancing inmates are a tradition man diri sa pilipinas. i was able to see an old film of bilibid in youtube. they were dancing and marching. I will try to look for the youtube link.

    I wonder what is so " THE LAUGHING STOCK " about it .

    I just dont get it .
