do you appreciate having your copyright photos posted in other sites without your knowledge?

i took that picture of princess (white outfit) about 5 years ago and without notifying me these people lifted from my site, posted it here...they even cropped out the watermark...tsk tsk.
thats why i dont do much flickr...

would you appreciate your pictures borrowed by one company for an editorial feature in a magazine but then later ending up in ad's and promotional materials by another company without your knowledge or compensation? not even credits. no apology. even refuse to talk about it. tsk tsk.

I've just recently read a similar experience from another photog forum. As what the others have advised the aggrieved photographer there, try to consult your lawyer. You have a more stronger case here since this is copyrighted and; if you can produce the exif, may result in just compensation for your part (which should include your attorney's fees if this goes to court). I'm sure you have a lawyer/friend or two around...

I am no expert, but shouldn't those pictures are copyrighted? Maybe you could file a complaint or something. Sue them perhaps.

mao gyud naka lisod if your photos are displayed in public and with the available technology we have now. naa gyud eventually mo grab and even if naka watermark, they just clone out or crop out your watermark. If you overdo your watermark, then there's no point nasad of sharing your work.
dili sad worth it mo file ug legal complaint kay kansi pa ka sa gasto sa legal fees and takes a lot out of your time.
