help: hard disk

hi guys, i bought this 3.5" seagate hard disk (500GB) gibutang nako sa enclosure nya a few days ago while ga convert ko ug mga movies, ning kalit lang ug freeze ako video converter program. then if i view the files makita man pero if i try to open them dugay kaau mu open then ang window explorer mag "not responding" sya.... i tried scan and repair dili man mahuman kay mu freeze sya, try scanning with my av and anti-malware program mu freeze jud sya....

checkdisk scheduled it to be scanned when i reboot the pc nya pag scan niya, it got stuck sa stage 4 of 5 (ang line nag say something about bootex.log)... mga 2 hours tingali to nako gi byaan and ingato ra jud sya so ako nalang gi off diretso ako pc...

unsa man angay buhaton ani? or dalhon nalang nako diretso sa thinking tools basin ma ayo nila? under warranty paman ni , mu ayo ba ni sila?? i don't want to lose my files (mga 400GB) na to puro mga videos

help pls... wala may nag pop up nga mga errors... also if i safely remove the hard drive, dili sya ma remove kay in use kuno...

pls post complete specs sis. sa imo enclosure ug sa imo harddisk.
better bring it to them para ma pa au. i think if ma loos nimo imo mga files imo jud na ipa recover. murag per gig man cguro ang price, im not sure. ipa warranty nalang na sis.

try not to use ur enclosure, just put it slave or secondary master. kng same problem gihapon sa imu na pc.

please post ur pc specs para matabangan kag isolate ana.

pila ka watts imong psu bro? basin dili siya ka supply accurately kung pilay needed sa imong system..

yep ayaw daw i butang sa enclosure then test, ma detect paman kaha?! Try this first then if dLe gani ghpon...naa ko program dri but I'm not a 100% sure if ma recover tanan files nimo...but sa akong case na recover man akong files...Pm lang....test sa na imong HD connected directly to the pc..

actually i have a laptop, so i cant make it a slave drive, can i?

ang article nagi post ni insect111 kay naa to link inorder for you to check kung affected ba imo model (you didn't read in-bettween-the-lines, I'm guessing that you only scan the article) 7th paragraph sa article naa didto ang link

To check manually, in short, "do it yourself"
check lang sa casing sa imo hardisk haron maka hibalo ka kung unsa model (usually sa stickers na ibutang) ... then check kung ang imo model kay any of the following:

a) Barracuda 7200.11
b) Barracuda ES.2 (SATA)
c) DiamondMax 22

Kung ang imo harddisk usa sa mga listed above... affected ang imong model sa "firmware bug" as discribe by the article... but do not worry this bug is not the kind of virus that can destroy your computer or OS.

Regarding sa repair... kindly read the article (firmware update ang buhaton) unya kung gusto ka ma retrieve nimo ang imo mga files "Seagate will provide free data recovery services"-2nd to the last paragraph of the article...

laptop imo gegamit bro?external hardisk d i ang imo gegamit na storage?kanang try kuno shutdown u laptop,remove hardisk then try ug connect ang hardisk sa lain na laptop kung mao raba gehapon ang sakit niya.kung mao ra gehapon, basing defective ang sulod sa hardisk.
