A NATIONWIDE survey conducted by the Social Weather Station from Sept. 18 to 21 shows Noynoy topping the list as the most likely among the presidentiables to be the next president of the Philippines. When asked the question, “Who do you think are good leaders who should succeed President Arroyo as President,”60 percent of 1,800 respondents named Aquino.
This is the second poll taken showing Noynoy Aquino as frontrunner among the presidentiables. Still, people are skeptical. Many insist it’s only a survey. Besides, the election is not today.

True. But if you tracked the last three presidential elections and the SWS polls taken during those years, you will realize that the SWS polls are pretty good indicators of the actual election results.
Why do some people continue to vilify Noynoy? Perhaps, it is because these people do not believe he deserves to be president. They cite his lackluster record in Congress. They label him TWA (talagang walang alam). Yet, if you hear the man speak, it is obvious that although he does not have the gift of gab, he is not exactly a bumbling idiot.
The guy has his share of talents. He is not a *****. He is obviously of above average intelligence. He has had his share of achievements. Admittedly, his record is not brilliant but perhaps, it is because of his self-effacing personality. He is not the type to advertise his accomplishments. He is not one to recite his resume to every person he meets.
He is a very unassuming person and people mistake this quality of Noynoy as a lack of competence or intelligence. Admittedly, Noynoy does not have an assertive personality. And perhaps that is his blight. But perhaps his blight could be his blessing. He does not have the arrogance of a political upstart.
The only glaring achievement of Noynoy is the simplicity with which he has lived his life. No one has heard of any kind of abuse of power or position on his part. He has not enriched himself with the country’s coffers. He has chosen to live his life simply and with integrity. And this, I believe, is what will make Noynoy a winner in the end.
People are sick and tired of crime and corruption. We have had a succession of motley personalities occupying the highest post of the land. We’ve had a housewife, a soldier, a movie actor, a technocrat. We’ve had brains. We’ve had brawn. We’ve had a neophyte. We’ve had a veteran. We’ve had a college drop-out. We’ve had a West Point graduate.
Our current president is a Georgetown University graduate—-an academic and an intellectual giant. Did superior IQ do our country any good?
I am, myself, a great admirer of intellectuals. In fact, I am quite a snob. To me, intellectuals should occupy the highest rung in society, not wealthy merchants. But I am also sick and tired of thieving traditional politicians.
Today, we need a leader who can alleviate poverty and defeat corruption. We need someone who understands reproductive rights and green obligations. We need a president who will refill our nation’s coffers not rob them. In the end, it comes down to integrity.

It is the Youth For Noy group but I just want to clarify, Youth can be anyone! Even the young at heart ANYONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE A STAND AGAINST CORRUPTION CAN JOIN!!! Yo!Noy is the group that supports Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas. =)

As of now, the core group is still meeting on important topics and more details will follow REAL SOON! Promise!
The announcement I can make of as of the moment is that WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

One man CANNOT do it alone. Yo!Noy continues indefinitely. Change doesn't happen overnight. As cliche as it may seem, the future relies on the Youth.
