i used to work for a VIOP company, usualy in those kind of situation, naa kay ports na blocked...naa man kaha DT?, nya mu ring? very possible na blocked ang SIP ports nimo. unsai make/model sa router nimo? ang imo VIOP device unsai model? whats your make and model of your modem? kung modem router na. maybe you need to bridgemode your modem router.

The problem isn't clear.. are you saying that you can actually do the call except that you can't hear the ring tone? But since the remote device you are trying to call rings, when someone picks it up, are you able to talk to each other?

If what I mentioned above are true, then i don't think it's a blocked SIP port issue. Check your DTMF settings.

Also, so that everyone would find it easier to help you next time, please state the model/name of the devices you're working on. You just said it's linksys, but which model? Is it a PAP or a SPA? If it's a SPA, which leg is having problems, VOIP-VOIP, VOIP-PSTN or PSTN-PSTN? What firmware is it running on? Etc. etc.

I agree with you sir, very similar case ni na encounter naku, i had to toubleshoot our VOIP Test phones. Our test phones were connected to a diff leased DSL connection aside from the Main server. it was strange because it was working ok. i tried every TS i could think, from mac cloning, Static IP, Port forwarding. so i asked the IT dept if there were any changes made. they said that they had to block all the ports that were not being used as mandated by a new company policy. so i advised them to open up RTP ports 10000-20000 UDP- problem solved...

so as far kini na issue is concerned, i have a feeling na naa ra ni na block na port either sa modem niya or sa router.

wala pa man sad si TS mag hatag ug details sa iya network setup para ma solve na ni....
