I just went to the Globe Business Center at Ayala today (October 18, 2009) and asked about the Globe Super Duo.

This are the information I got for them:

FOR POSTPAID:

Available on October 19, 2009

Text SUPERDUO (area) ON then send it to 8888

P499.00 per month rate would be charge on top of your bill.

Note: If you are currently subscribe to the Globe Duo service and want to be upgrade, you just unsubscribe your current Globe Duo Service and subscribe to the Globe Super Duo Service. Your old Globe Duo number would be RETAINED. Upgrading to SUPERDUO w/in 6 hrs waives DUO termination fee.

FOR PREPAID:

Available on October 26, 2009

Follow the procedures stated from 8888.

P35.00 for one day and P599.00 for one Month.

Now when I heard the latest news from Globe Duo (via Yugatech), I eagerly read their upgrade:

Subscribers of Globe Duo (399/30 days) can now upgrade to SuperDuo for Php499/30 days. SuperDuo allows you to make unlimited landline calls as well as unlimited calls to all Globe and Touch Mobile phones nationwide. You cannot call a DUO landline number in another region though but you can call their cellphone number.

I tried just a few hours ago.

I sent a text to 8888 superduo help

and the reply was

New GLOBE SUPERDUO!Make unlimited calls to GLOBE/TM nationwide, & to landline w/in d area u subscribed to!Only P499/30days!Txt SUPERDUO ON to 8888 to reg. Keywords for available areas:MM =NCR, CEB =Cebu, TAG =Bohol, ROX =Capiz, NEGOC =Negros Occ. Reg fee is charged on top of ur Globe plan.If u r a DUO subscriber,txt DUO OFF to 8888 before subscribing to SUPERDUO.Ul only b charged for d days u r on DUO.U cannot also use SUPERDUO while subscribed to Super-Unli and UnliCalls Nyt.Til 01/13/10 DTI5433s09

Then I sent a text message DUO OFF to 8888

The reply was

U r now deactivating ur DUO subscription. Reply OK to confirm. If u want to upgrade to SUPERDUO to enjoy walang metro calls to Globe/TM nationwide, and to landline w/in the areas subscribed to, proceed w/deactivation and text SUPERDUO ON to 8888. Upgrading to SUPERDUO w/in 6 hrs waives DUO termination fee. Otherwise you will be charged the termination fee of P1200. Unused DUO balance will also be credited to ur account w/in the next two billing periods

I replied OK to 8888

The reply :

You are now unsubscribed from DUO. If you’re still within holding period, you’ll be charged P1200 preterm fee. You may register again within 30 days to retain your DUO number. Send DUO MM ON to 8888, P399/ 30 days. For more info, send DUO INFO to 8888 for FREE.

Then I sent Superduo MM on to 8888

The reply was

Terms&Conditions:GLOBE SUPERDUO requires add’l P499/30days on top of ur plan.SUPERDUO lets u enjoy unlimitd calls to Globe/TM nationwide, & to landline w/in d area subscribed to!Landline calls outside area subscribed to are charged reg mobile rates.Ur acct will be locked-up for 90days.Termination of svc during lock-up is charged P1500.No plan downgrding while on SUPERDUO.In case of fraud,Globe reserves right to stop ur svc.To accept,reply YES w/in 6hrs.If not,u need to register again.Til 01/13/10 DTI5433s09

I sent YES to 8888

and the finally the last reply is

Thanks for accepting the Terms & Conditions! Ur GLOBE SUPERDUO svc is now active! Ur SUPERDUO# is 02-215xxxxx.Enjoy unlimitd calls to Globe/TM nationwide, & to landline w/in NCR.For landline calls,jst dial 02 and the landline#.Ur fee of P499/30days is charged on top of ur Globe plan.Minimum validity is 90days. After 90days, ur SUPERDUO will continue & u’l be charged evry 30days til u unsubscribe from the svc.To check status,txt SUPERDUO STATUS to 8888,P1/txt. For more info,txt SUPERDUO INFO to 8888 for FREE

So yes, I still retained my old DUO landline number. Remember you have to reply YES within 6 hours.
