Hi mga bro/sis ngayo unta ko gagmay na advise ninyo.

Nag plan ko ug palit auto I have some questions.

Kung ang auto kay registered.. lets say 1993 pa, expired na na noh? unsa ka dugay ang effectiveness sa registered cars? (in years) and unsay effect sa ma expire and registration? (gawas sa dili magamit) like multa/fine? mahal ang per year na computation para ma-re register?

Registered 1993? basin brandnew cya pag 1993 then first time g-register ang car.

expired cya if wala g-renew until know. dako kaayo na cya penalty.

every year na ang registration sa cars sir...dli na penalty kng iya g.coordinate sa lto na dli niya gamiton..i forgot unsa tawag ana..knang i.submit sa lto ang license plate sa car for storage...

basig you mean nga ang Certificare of Registration (CR) ang registered let say 1993. ok ra na as long as ni renew xa yearly and naa xa Official Receipt (OR) pag renew nya sa iya sakyanan... if my memory serves me right 2000 up model every 3years xa ipa registered and below 2000 models every year xa ipa renew..

yep gamit kaayo ni . mao ni ako gi buhat before ko palit motor..

walay problema sa sakyanan kung updated lang ang pag rehistro every year. sa ako pod nahibaloan, ang mga brand new na first time giregister kay 3 years ang iya rehistro. after sa 3 years, yearly na dayon ang pag rehistro sa sakyanan.

Ask for a photocopy of the OR/CR of the car you are interested in, and inquire about it in LTO. Ask for a computation of costs, including penalties. And while you're at it you can see if there are any pending fines/violations that need to be settled as well. That way you'll know how much you need to spend to get the car's papers updated. If the plates have not been placed on standby status with the LTO for so long, they might request you file a new registration and get a new plate, I think. I'm not sure, maybe those who have experienced this can chime in.

Of course, your due diligence should also extend to the condition of the car you're looking at, if it's worth the buying price. Is it a project car? Or ready to drive? Because if the last registration was indeed in 1993, I don't think the car is in that good a condition either. Unless it was driven without the proper papers all this time. Only you can tell. I hope naa makatabang nako ani nga thread. I have been searching the net for the topic "late car registration fees" pero until now murag wala pa jud concrete info ako nakita. I just bought a used hyundai elantra nga car. Kaso 2007 pa ang last registration niya. Ako unta gusto mahibal-an if how much ang magasto sa pagparehistro considering nga ang last registration date is 2/2/2007. Please help...thank you in advance.
