In the spring of 1985, the first meeting on the project took place in Santa Cruz, California. The chancellor of the University of California at Santa Cruz had assembled 12 biologists of diverse backgrounds to explore the idea of starting an institute to sequence the human genome. After two days of vigorous discussion, the 12 biologists concluded that it would, indeed, be possible to develop technology required to accomplish this then seemingly impossible objective.

yeah, supposedly.. but i'm looking into the spiritual and occult aspects of the scientific endeavor..

The mapping of the human genome is the "holy grail" of all the concerned sciences ... that would be great as every one of us is signed by our genes .. ingon pa ang amo prof: even the span of life of an organism can then be predicted ... religious/spritual consequences? I don't know here but I think believers of God will continue to believe Him; non believers will also stick to their assumptions, or maybe convinced of the mind of the "Great Engineer" who designed the human genome!

Talk about GENOMES here and not about its relevance of the bible otherwise it will be move somewhere also also since it doesnt belong to S and O either .

sorry, but i did not intend to talk about genomes.. i honestly dont think it should be moved here in the science section..
i wanted to point out that the human genome project was initiated by 12 biologists, which has a peculiar similarity to the 12 apostles.. the human genome project aims to map out the entire genome of a human being, which represents all of humanity... and personally, I believe that the Christ represents all of Humanity..
